I've been making jewelry in all different styles - bead weaving, wire wrapping, you name it - since I was 14 years old. But, LucyKitty was born when - fed up with seeing my favorite jewelry tarnish all too easily, I decided to do something about it. My closest friends and family would also come to me with their broken or tarnished pieces, asking if I could help fix pieces that had sentimental value, and while I could fix most problems, sometimes nothing could be done because the piece was poorly made or made from cheap materials. Given the heartbreak involved, I hated telling loved ones that nothing could be done to save their jewelry, especially when such heartbreak could easily be avoided if the overall standards for jewelry materials in this world was just a little higher. Fed up of the terrible standards we accept for our jewelry, I set out to do something about it.

After a deep dive into researching durable materials, rigorous quality checks, and several experiments in jewelry design, I discovered that gold-filled was the best material to go with for the longevity, look, and value I was looking for. The Namesake

We are named after my cat, Lucy - my studio assistant who likes to loaf next to me while I make jewelry! 🐈‍⬛

We pride ourselves on helping people connect with themselves and the people important to them through jewelry, all the while fixing the problems that hold people back from wearing the jewels they want to. At our pop-up events and in our online shop, folks often create very meaningful and personal pieces, thanks to the highly personalized and customizable nature of our designs.
